On behalf of our client, Ingenium Technologies is recruiting and evaluating candidates for the position of Tool & Die Machinist. The client manufacturers commercial steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies.
 
Position Purpose

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to set up and operate machine tools for outlet box construction.
  • Perform precision machining operations, including cutting, drilling, grinding, milling and turning to fabricate parts and components.
  • Inspect and measure machined components to ensure they meet precise specifications
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on dies including disassembling, diagnosing faults, and performing intricate repairs.
  • Specialize in the repair of progressive and compound dies, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with engineering and Master Die Makers to improve die designs and enhance production efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, repairs, and modifications for future reference
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and die performance

 
Education or Formal Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 
Software Requirements

  • CAD

 
Experience Required
 

  • 2-7 years’ experience and proficiency with machines and construct tooling to drawing specifications to meet production need
  • Ability to read, alter CAD drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to use manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc. to fabricate process equipment
  • Familiarity with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper.
  • Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.
  • Welding TIG/MIG experience
  • Familiarity with steel heat treating process

 
Location: Washington, PA
 
Position: Direct Hire, no relocation assistance available, no remote work from home/hybrid option available
 
Travel: 10% domestic
