On behalf of our client, Ingenium Technologies is recruiting and evaluating candidates for the position of Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will actively participate and support the design, development, fabrication, validation, installation, and troubleshooting of production equipment and programs.
 
Position Purpose

• Provide guidelines for the design and selection of test equipment, Developing testing protocols, test data collection programs and best practices.
• Support, service, and trouble shoot controls for production equipment, test equipment, and electrical systems within the plant.
• Develop test equipment specifications ensuring compliance with electrical safe work practices and OSHA requirements. Identify and remediate potential safety hazards.
• Developing interfaces between SQL databases and production systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, MESH, manufacturing engineering, quality, product design engineering, suppliers, and customers as needed.
• Performs root cause and failure analysis, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Lead/co-lead cost-out initiatives and promotes culture of continuous improvement. Collaborates cross functionally using Lean and Six Sigma tools to solve manufacturing problems.
• Leverages advanced technology to improve the effectiveness of information systems for controls.

 
Education or Formal Training

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required. 

 
Software Requirements

• Rockwell Software

 
Experience Required
 

• 5-10 years’ experience Controls/Test engineering experience.
• 5-10 years’ experience with various programming software including Visual Basic/Studio, SQL, and other Microsoft applications.
• Experience with Rockwell Software (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME, FactoryTalk SE).
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming, and an understanding of safety systems design.

 
Location: Waukesha, WI
 
Position: Direct Hire, relocation assistance available.
 
Travel: 10% domestic
