Ingenium engineers have designed and developed electric power generation, more electric aircraft, emergency power, actuation, pump and hydraulic, and gearbox systems for commercial, military and space programs.
Ingenium engineers have participated in and led many electric power generation design and development programs over the last 30 years including at both Ingenium and former employers. These have included commercial and military programs, and primary and secondary electric power systems. We have experience working with most of the airframe OEMs including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, and Gulfstream.

Ingenium staff have been engaged in the development of core electric aircraft technologies for many years. The team is experienced in the design and integration of MEA enabling products from power generation to electrical loads.

MEA solutions require power generation configurations optimized for the mission profile. This may dictate a total battery powered system or a large power hybrid integrating turbine powered AC generation with battery supplied DC.
Our expertise in the design and development of AC & DC generation systems is used to achieve an optimum solution. This experience includes large scale power levels and high voltage systems.
Our team is experienced in the design and development of AC and DC distribution systems for military and commercial aircraft. This includes specifications and electronic packaging design of electromechanical and solid-state distribution units.
MEA architectures are enabled by the growing capability of electrically driven subsystems. Ingenium has substantial experience in the design and development of these various systems. Examples of these systems include:
The provision of emergency electric power has been well established with Ram Air Turbine technology. Ingenium is well versed in the design and development of RAT products.
Our engineers’ experience with ram air turbines (RATs) for emergency power applications is unparalleled. These specialty turbines provide emergency electric and hydraulic power for vital aircraft systems, such as flight controls and flight critical instrumentation, in the case of both primary and auxiliary power source failures. When the lights go dark, you can count on our RAT design to bring back the power.

Ingenium Technologies’ team of associates includes several industry leading actuation experts. Their experience includes contribution to and leadership of many challenging actuation design and qualification programs.

The team can undertake the complete design & development program cycle or contribute to any part thereof:
The range of our actuation design experience includes:
The team has produced single actuator designs and complex multi actuator distributed systems including:
Ingenium engineers have designed and analyzed a wide variety of pumps, hydraulic motors, and turbomachinery including axial piston pumps, vane pumps, centrifugal pumps, gerotor pumps, ball-piston pumps, fans, ram air turbines, and turbo-compressors. We have also integrated these components, along with valves, deaerators, accumulators, heat exchangers, and filter manifolds into hydraulic systems.

Gearboxes and mechanisms are required in many of the components we design, and we have developed the tools and capabilities to create high performance gearbox designs to meet your needs. We have applied these skills in a broad range of commercial, military, and space applications.
